Cumulative (Grade) Point Average (CPA)

A student's Cumulative [Grade] Point Average (CPA) shows the overall performance for the duration of studies; it is determined by multiplying the number of credits of each module by the quality points earned for it, and dividing by the total number of programme credits.

Example of MBA student with 240 PG credits:

Course Credits Letter Grade Credits x Quality Points Total Quality Points
UU-MBA-710 (25) B 25 x 3.0 75
UU-MBA-717 (25) C+ 25 x 2.3 57.5
UU-MBA-718 (25) A- 25 x 3.7 92.5
UU-MBA-715 (25) B+ 25 x 3.3 82.5
UU-MBA-711 (40) C 40 x 2.0 80
UU-MBA-712 (25) D 25 x 1.0 25
UU-MBA-716 (25) D- 25 x 0.7 17.5
UU-MBA-713 (25) A 25 x 4.0 100
UU-MBA-714 (25) B- 25 x 2.7 67.5
  597.5
Equation: Total number of quality points (597.5) divided by total number of Credits (240) equals Cumulative Point Average (CPA). (Example: 597.5/240=2.49).
