Module Description
This module uses JavaScript to introduce the fundamental principles of procedural computer programming and scripting languages.

Module Aim
This module aims at equipping students with an understanding of the basic principles of procedural computer programming.

Module Learning Outcomes
After completing the course students should be able to:
1. Embed scripts within HTML documents to affect behaviour of web browsers and document content and appearance, and to generate HTML-based web content dynamically
2. Compose scripts to perform verification using pattern matching and regular expressions
3. Demonstrate understanding of the similarities and differences between JavaScript and other common programming languages
