The course aids the students to develop knowledge and skills in the advanced understanding of statistics in order to be able to conduct research and analyse statistical data. Students will also be able to use advanced.

Course Objectives

The main objectives of the course are:

  1. To make students aware of the concept of measures of central tendency and variation.
  2. To make students aware of elementary probability theory.
  3. To cover in detail all aspects of the binomial and the normal random variables and distributions.
  4. To thoroughly discuss estimation and hypothesis testing.
