The main purpose of this course is to enable students to understand the key supply-chain management concepts as well as become familiar with operations management and its relationship with other functional management areas.

  1. To understand the significance of supply chain management and its key sub-categories such as logistics, purchasing and operations management.
  2. To be able to form business strategies regarding the supply chain management industry.
  3. To build a foundational background in supply chain management and the wide range of tools they can use to analyze and improve supply chain processes.
  4. To evaluate the power of supply chain management to contribute to an organization’s overall competitive advantage.
