Module Description
This module will enable students to develop an understanding of the current and emerging technologies that support web-based software systems by providing advanced knowledge of web technology topics and specialist areas.

Module Aim
This module aims to make students aware of current web technologies and to describe the main web technologies to equip them with all the necessary skills to create original solutions to emerging web trends and needs.

Module Learning Outcomes
After completing the course students should be able to:
1. Demonstrate knowledge of key concepts of web technology
2. Recommend solutions based on advanced concepts in specialist areas of web technology such as Cyber Security, Software Engineering and Web Science
3. Apply techniques, technologies and tools used in Web Science.
4. Analyse methods of software design, development and testing used in Web Science.
5. Apply methods of research and enquiry within the discipline.
