Course Description:

Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods focuses on different aspects of quantitative and qualitative research methodology. The goal of the module is to teach students to understand and confidently apply a variety of research designs, principles and models that are essential for their doctoral research and that will ultimately lead them to create a provisional research methodology plan. Among the objectives of the module are the students’ ability to define key concepts and terms related to Quantitative and Qualitative methods, to collect and analyse data, and to learn how to carry out research using the right rules of conduct and principles of ethics, in order to protect their research participants, their rights, data, privacy, autonomy and dignity.
